Mikasa was sitting by her lover's grave all alone under a big tree wearing the same clothes she used to wear as a child.
Until a white dove suddenly appeared, using it's beak to pick up one of the ends of the maroon colored scarf which colors were fading after cherished for years and wrapped the end around Mikasa's neck, leaving no excess length that was hanging down her chest.
Mikasa then realized the dove was no ordinary dove, and instead it was Eren. She didn't have a clue as to how Eren became the dove, but she didn't care.
A tear fell down her cheek as she wished they could all have a second chance to live a happy and carefree life which they never got to experience in this one.
Each of them were born into a new body years later, with the same name, but in a place with different rules that they'd have to relearn. It was almost as if they were in a whole new different world.
