When a Spy Meets a S.W.A.T. Officer (S.W.A.T. (CBS) Fanfiction)

Caroline Starkey, a freelancing government agent, is put undercover (undercover alias Caroline Stone) in Los Angeles, California, by the FBI, with hopes of infiltrating the LA-based Russian Mafia that killed her sister, Chelsea. She meets American arms dealer David Wright (Sergeant David "Deacon" Kay with LAPD S.W.A.T.), who she doesn't know is an LAPD officer. The two, not knowing that they are both trying to bring each other in for questioning at their respective jobs, form a deep connection through the time spent undercover, with Caroline questioning if she should continue the mission due to her developing feelings for him. When Caroline's undercover identity is compromised, she is told that the LAPD also has an undercover officer, and she has to make contact. Determined not to let whoever gets their cover blown, she goes to S.W.A.T. headquarters and finds out that the man she began developing feelings for has a whole other identity, which involves being a husband and a father.

Author's Note: When creating stories with existing characters, I find it easiest to put myself in the story to make it easier for me to write. Deacon is a beloved character whose heart and soul lie within his faith, S.W.A.T., and family. I have no intention of changing that about him, as it is something I love about his character. I don't plan on making him a cheater or for Caroline to wreck his family.
For Season 8, 20-Squad will consist of current and predicted members, including Sergeant Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson as 20-David, Sergeant David "Deacon" Kay as 30-David, Officer III Victor Tan as 25-David, Officer Zoe Powell as 28-David, and Officer III Miguel Alfaro as 27-David, with appearances by Officer Alexis Cabrera as 54-David. There are chances for possible reoccurrences of former characters.
