I send a friend request to him, hoping he'll accept, along with the message: Hey. Thanks for commenting on my post. Wanna chat? You seem like an interesting person.

I raise my eyebrows when he comments back almost immediately: Took the words right out of my mouth.

With that, a little 'tick' appears next to his name, signifying he has accepted the friend request. 

Without knowing, I grin. Maybe social media isn't exactly worthless after all.

I finished the story recently and I left a lot of cliff hangers or gaps in her past and a ending that isn't ideal. If I revise, I will fix that and probably change the end.
