She turned to her right to look around but bumped into a wall. A startled gasp escaped her lips as she began to fall. Her eyes squeezed shit and braced herself for impact... but it never came. Two warm arms had wrapped themselves around her waist to prevent her from falling. Slowly she opened her eyes to come face to face to possibly the handsomest male she has ever seen. He had dark wavy locks that was messy, as if he ran his fingers through it repeatedly and these grey eyes that seemed to burn into my soul. After realizing their rather awkward position, she quickly launched herself out of his arms. "I am terribly sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going and... and... I'm sorry." she stuttered. The male looked as if her were in a daze for a moment before a blank look overtook his face. "It's fine."

*Rejected at First Sight* Spin-off series (By GirlWhoChasesRainbow) 🌶 "Oomph!" The sound rushed out of my mouth as the door opened before I could reach the handle and my body hits a wall. I stumble backwards slightly before a hand wraps around my waist, keeping me from falling. Looking up, I realize this wasn't a wall, but instead a very attractive male. A very messy, but definitely sexy, mop of black hair sat on top of his head. When I looked closer, I realized that it was a deep shade of brown that was probably often mistaken for black. My gaze traveled to his eyes, where I found two deep ocean blue eyes looking at me. I kept going further down to his too crooked nose to be called straight, which I assumed came from too many fights. His skin was tanned, but an olive tone suggested he had a natural darker complexion to begin with. My eyes finally found his pink, very plump lips which were resting slightly open. His lips jerked up into a lopsided sneer as his hand snapped back to his side. The sudden movement left my back cold, as if his palm had been a source of warmth. "You've got to be kidding me!" His tone dripped with disgust. My eyes turned to questioning as I looked back up into his eyes. I brought my hand up to rub my nose, squinting at the slight pain. "What the hell." He grumbled. "I, Jay Julian, reject you as my mate." He, or Jay, said with venom lacing his voice. He quickly turned and walked down the now vacant hallway with no glance back. Rejection? What the hell was that? Was it some sort of local lingo? How did I get rejected on my first day? The first person I make eye contact with at this school rejects me. I guess that's how this school works, if the hottest boy in school rejects you, you're a nobody. If that's how this small town school worked, then I was screwed. So much for making friends, or mates, or whatever they call people in this place. I shake those ocean blue eyes out of my head and continue into the office to start my new life.
