    Xavier Alstro is a waiter at The Burgundy, a fine dining restaurant in Vancouver. Every day, he grapples with both short-tempered customers and making a sufficient living to support his alcoholic mother and infant niece. To add to his problems, his inner thoughts seemed to have manifested into a person of its own, tempting him to do reckless---and sometimes even criminal---things.
    
    Daniel Pierce is the adopted son of the late Howard Pierce, a wealthy art connoisseur. He was pulled from the streets of Vancouver straight into a life of luxury, all due to his talents in sculpting. Although, unbeknownst to everyone around him, the soft-spoken and polite young man hides a secret from his blurry past. Something he needs to satisfy and bury at the same time.
