All Kiera wants is to be reunited with her brother. After Kaden's escape five years ago, Kiera has been plotting her own escape from the abbey that has held her prisoner for 13 years. Once she is out in the real world, she sets out to meet Kaden at the safe house he talked about: Valkyrie Academy. When the headmaster tells her that Kaden has gone missing, she enrolls as a student to try and gain information about Kaden's disappearance. She soon finds out that he is not the only student who has mysteriously disappeared. Kiera finds herself caught up in a battle between the extraordinarily gifted students and the people who want to use their gifts as weapons. In a battle waged with magic, and the elements, will Kiera be able to find her brother and save the other students, or will she too disappear?

They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else.
