In a world devastated by an uncontainable virus, society collapses into isolated villages fighting for survival. Clyde and his girlfriend have managed to stay safe until a ruthless group discovers their shelter. While Clyde searches for food, the intruders brutally kill his girlfriend and alert nearby zombies with their noise. With his girlfriend's dying words urging him to run, Clyde escapes, vowing to avenge her death and find a cure for the virus.
