Mark Mangal is the perfect epitome of a 16-year old teenager. Smart, A-lister, prefect- he is the de facto celebrity of the school. However, he's also notorious for one thing- lying. He may be a womanizer in front of the entire school, even to his best friend, Connor Lee, whom he keeps no secrets from. Yet, inside his heart, he yearns for only one person, the cute, introverted boy Rhett Evans.
Rhett however, is the complete reciprocal of Mark. Average, C-lister, a nobody- he had the feeling that his life would change when he met Mark. And yes it did, for he began to see life in a way that his immature self had never seen. Both the boys shared a bond that no other boys shared, so much so that Rhett had no idea that Mark had fallen in love with him.
But like every friendship, everything goes kaput when one thing comes into play.
The truth.
Rhett's homophobia makes him discard Mark as a friend when he finds out the truth about him, even when Mark decides to put aside his unrequited love for the sake of maintaining the friendship. Mark goes into depression upon learning that Rhett is no longer his ally, and insulted him with labels despite insisting that he's bisexual, and not gay.
Trying to move on, Mark tries his best to never go down that 'horrendous' path again. But can Mark truly move on from Rhett and hide that side of him forever? Or will it come back to him- for a happier ending this time around?
