**Main Characters:**
1. **Maya Thompson:** A spirited, ambitious 30-something woman who once dreamed of being a professional barista but has settled for a desk job in marketing. After a recent breakup, she finds herself at a crossroads, questioning her choices and longing for the passion she once had for coffee and community.
2. **Jack Ramirez:** A charming, witty, and slightly cynical owner of The Brewed Awakening. He inherited the coffee shop from his grandmother and has dedicated his life to keeping her legacy alive. Jack is at odds with the changing world around him, feeling the pressure to modernize his shop while trying to hold onto the warmth of its history.
3. **Lila Chen:** Maya's best friend and a free-spirited artist who encourages Maya to take risks and embrace her true self. Lila has a knack for seeing the beauty in chaos and is always pushing Maya to step out of her comfort zone.

Trigger Warning: While this book is a majority fluff there are a few angsty bits that face some grim topics including child abuse, dangerous parents, alcohol abuse, homophobia, transphobia, and harassment. This story includes quite a bit of swearing as well (blame my trucker dad for that) so viewer discretion is advised. No Smut whatsoever in this book. (I love y'all but I'm not putting my ace ass through that torture) If you have an idea for a cute date between characters, a friend group excursion, etc. please comment. This is a short story about a band-obsessed outcasted teen and the handsome barista of the new café. (Cliché, i know. But pfff) Gabe is around his two best and only friends almost all of the time. The people in school make fun of him because they don't think he's 'cool enough'. But Gabe ignores them as good as he can. When the three of them go to the new café down the road, the hot barista immediately catches Gabes eyes. The barista seems pretty interested but Gabe is too scared he will only make fun of him like the others. What will happen when Gabes best friend pressures him into inviting the barista to her party? __________ Lol this sounds shitty but the book actually isn't THAT bad hahaha. Check it out if you like.
