Steve Harrington and Jules Mayfield have been best friends since she moved to Hawkins, Indiana. They're both popular and extroverted so, of course, people tend to gravitate towards them. But no amount of popularity can save them from the danger of the Upside Down.

When Will Byers goes missing, everything changes for the two normal teens as they discover their small town, where nothing ever happens, harbors strange and grave dangers with frightening creatures lurking at every corner.

The only thing that never changes is the bond between Jules and Steve, who have come to see a different side of each other as they battle monsters.
