### Summary of *The Maze of Shadows*
On a typical Saturday, Charlotte Walker visits a new shopping mall filled with excitement but soon loses track of time and her friends, Ally and Mr. Cheung. While retracing her steps, she stumbles upon a mysterious "Staff Only" door. Curiosity leads her inside, where the lights flicker out, plunging her into darkness. Panic sets in as she realizes she is trapped.
In the pitch-black maze, Charlotte encounters a horrifying mummy slumped against the wall. Despite her fear, she presses on and discovers a kitchen lined with doors. After searching, she finds a rusted key in a storage room, which becomes her hope for escape. Navigating through locked doors, she finally discovers one that opens to a narrow passageway leading back to the mall.
Bursting into the atrium, Charlotte is overwhelmed by the lively atmosphere, which sharply contrasts with her recent experience. She reunites with Ally and Mr. Cheung, sharing the incredible tale of her adventure. While Mr. Cheung remains skeptical, Ally is intrigued and encourages Charlotte to write down the story.
Feeling a renewed sense of purpose, Charlotte decides to capture the thrilling experience in writing, transforming her fear into creativity and ensuring that the memory of the maze and its eerie secrets will live on.

So when she suddenly gets kidnapped one day, she wonders what she had ever done to deserve this. She hadn't done anything wrong, at least she didn't think she did. But she learns that there is something about her that is special and that she is not only human. Meet Jared Gray, the person that kidnapped Isabelle because of her being his mate. He's been waiting since he was 16 to find his mate and now he's 22, about to give up on ever finding his mate. But when he smells her in a mall one day, he follows her home and decides to take what's his. Isabelle's life will never be the same again.
