Ang "Eyes on You: Part 1" ay isang kwento ng pagkakaibigan na unti-unting umusbong sa pagiging pag-ibig sa pagitan ng dalawang high school students, sina Ara at Jay. Si Ara ay tahimik at mahiyain, samantalang si Jay ay masayahin at palakaibigan. Sa kabila ng kanilang magkaibang personalidad, nagkakaroon ng pagkakataon si Ara na makilala si Jay nang hilingin nitong maging partner niya sa isang school project. Sa kanilang madalas na pagkikita at pagtutulungan, nagiging mas malapit sila sa isa't isa.
Habang lumalalim ang relasyon nila, si Ara ay nagiging mas malaya sa pagpapakita ng damdamin niya kay Jay, subalit natatakot pa rin siya dahil sa pagiging mahigpit ng kanyang mga magulang. Sa kabilang banda, si Jay ay nagiging mas sigurado sa kanyang nararamdaman kay Ara ngunit pinipiling maghintay ng tamang pagkakataon para ipahayag ito, sa takot na masira ang kanilang pagkakaibigan.
Nang matapos ang isang taon, sa wakas ay umamin si Jay ng kanyang nararamdaman para kay Ara, at laking gulat ni Ara na pareho rin pala ang kanyang nararamdaman. Gayunpaman, nagiging balakid sa kanila ang takot ni Ara sa kanyang mga magulang, na hindi madaling pumapayag sa kanyang pakikipagrelasyon. Nagiging seryoso si Jay, at nagpapakita ng kahandaang patunayan ang sarili sa mga magulang ni Ara.
Ang kwento ay umiikot sa mga temang first love, kabataan, at ang pakikipaglaban para sa pagmamahal habang iginagalang ang mga inaasahan ng pamilya. Ipinapakita ng "Eyes on You: Part 1" ang pag-usbong ng pagmamahalan sa isang maingat at tahimik na paraan, at nagbibigay ng inspirasyon sa mga kabataang umiibig sa kabila ng mga limitasyon ng kultura at pamilya.
