After the tumultuous events of the Battle of Hogwarts, Severus Snape seeks a fresh start, accepting a position as Potions Master at Ilvermorny. He arrives at the magical school in the shadow of Mount Greylock, hoping for a quieter life, but peace remains elusive when he crosses paths with Kat Hawthorne, a bold and enigmatic Transfiguration professor. Despite her playful nature and carefree attitude, there's something about her that pulls Severus in-though he's determined to resist. As they navigate the intricacies of their new roles, an undeniable tension simmers between them, complicated further by the presence of Headmaster Cypress Brook, Kat's brooding ex-fiancΓ©, whose dark history with her casts a long shadow over the school.

Kat is no stranger to chaos, having long embraced her rebellious streak, but her carefully managed facade cracks when Severus arrives-his guarded demeanor and shared history with loss reflecting parts of herself she'd rather forget. The two find themselves drawn together, yet held back by secrets, old wounds, and the looming presence of Cypress, whose unresolved past with Kat threatens to reignite. As Severus and Kat struggle to clear the air between them, they must decide whether to confront their demons or risk letting the ghosts of their pasts drive them apart forever.
