In Shadows of the Past, Sam and Bobby wrestle with the devastating revelations Dean shared about his years of silent suffering. The once indestructible Dean has been reduced to a man haunted by his mother's final words and the weight of his lifelong burdens. As Dean's inner battles intensify, Sam is torn between guilt and the overwhelming need to be the brother Dean can lean on. Bobby, too, is shaken to his core, recalling the day he talked Dean off the ledge, now understanding the depth of Dean's unresolved pain.

With Dean no longer fighting to regain his mobility, it becomes clear to Bobby and Sam that Dean is on the brink of giving up, his will to survive tethered only by those he loves. But the words from their mother continue to haunt Dean, and the family must figure out whether this haunting is an omen or simply the last echoes of a lifetime of protecting others.

Sam and Bobby must navigate a path of healing, both for Dean and themselves, but the shadows of the past loom larger than ever. Will they be able to save Dean from the ghosts that threaten to pull him under, or will they lose him to the darkness that's always been lurking just beneath the surface?

Told from alternating perspectives, Shadows of the Past explores the emotional and psychological toll of family, loss, and the lengths we go to protect the ones we love-even from ourselves.

Every scar has a story but Cary Douglas isn't talking. SCARS trilogy vol. 1. Cary learned a long time ago that secrets and silence equal survival and he's kept his promise to his family ever since. So when the clean-cut new kid starts paying attention to him at school, it's a problem. Cary is sure he can't afford to care about one more person, but Jon White's persistent kindness is cracking him open. Every smile has a cost and Jon White is tired of paying it. It's never been easy to be the oldest son of Pastor White, and keeping it together when the bully at his new school is in his face every day is almost more than he can do. He has just one question - where is God when everything is shit? - and so far nobody's answering. This is a novel about what happens when the silence breaks - about faith and family, suffering and doubt and the answer to Jon's question. ☆Featured on Wattpad's @ProfileMentalHealth 'A New Day' reading list☆ ☆Winner of the Read4Read Awards Best Teen Fiction☆ SCARS Trilogy book one. This is the introduction to Cary, Jon & Curt and the world of my other novels. Set in 2007 -ish, the guys are 15 and 16 respectively. Cary is straight and the other two aren't saying. SELF PUBLISHED. BUY NOW ON AMAZON https://a.co/d/hPXh35A What if you could read tomorrow's events today? When Ethan Carter, a skeptical freelance journalist, stumbles upon an old, leather-bound diary hidden in his attic, he thinks it's nothing more than an heirloom from his late grandmother. But when the pages start filling themselves with entries-describing his future in unsettling detail-Ethan's world tilts into nightmare territory. At first, the diary seems harmless, even helpful. It predicts small events: a spilled coffee, a forgotten phone call. But as Ethan follows its entries, the predictions grow darker... and deadlier. Each page drags him deeper into a chilling reality where time bends, shadows move when they shouldn't, and a sinister entity watches from the corners of his vision. When a cryptic stranger warns him to burn the book before it's too late, Ethan hesitates. The more he reads, the harder it is to stop. His best friend Harper tries to pull him back, but when the diary predicts her death, she begins to fear him as much as the book itself. Now, Ethan is trapped in a horrifying paradox-does he obey the diary and risk becoming its pawn, or defy it and face the unknown consequences? As the final entry begins to write itself, one truth becomes clear: The story was never his to tell. He was always part of it. Fans of The Silent Patient and The House of Leaves will be riveted by this psychological thriller infused with supernatural horror. Can you trust your own fate when it's already written?

"Shadows of the Past" follows the harrowing journey of Ethan Blackwood, a man battling the demons of his past while struggling to navigate an uncertain present. Set against the backdrop of small-town life and haunted by broken relationships, lost family, and personal failures, Ethan's story is one of survival, resilience, and the fight to rebuild after everything has fallen apart. This is book one. Trigger Warnings: This book contains themes and depictions of trauma, childhood abuse, substance abuse, loss of a parent, toxic relationships, manipulation, emotional and psychological distress, and mental health struggles. Reader discretion is advised. "Shadows of the Past" is a deeply personal project for me. Though this work is fictional, many of the events, emotions, and experiences portrayed are drawn closely from my own life. Writing this book has been both a cathartic and challenging process, allowing me to explore and process difficult chapters of my past. While some characters and events are products of fiction, others are reflections of real-life experiences that I have faced. In the same way, the protagonist's journey is a mixture of truth and imagination, offering both insight into the real struggles of those facing emotional battles and the power of storytelling to find meaning in pain. For the sake of privacy, all names have been changed, and any resemblance to real people is purely coincidental. The first book in this story is now complete, and as you read it, I hope it resonates with anyone who has faced their own shadows and is seeking a way through. Thank you for joining me on this journey. - Chris D.

Supernatural... But Better (Vol. II)

53 parts Complete

(CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM VOL. I: https://www.wattpad.com/story/329035910-supernatural-but-better-vol-i) So, we've met our brave heroes, thwarted death, destruction, ghosts, monsters, unhealed familial trauma from our tragic backstories... yeah, that's going to come up again. Now, as our character list expands, we learn that the black-and-white, good-and-evil worldview we've had thus far might be nothing more than a fairytale. We find obstacles - both old and new, physical and emotional, easy and difficult. Our favorite characters may become our least favorite, a random side comment may come back to bite us in the ass. Details we thought were irrelevant turn out to be life-changing, and the world may never be the same. With my own spin on it, of course, because as my pal Dean said so eloquently, "After everything I've done for this family, I think I'm entitled."
