my feet dug into the chipped wood railing under me. I glanced back once at the burning ship, eyes clouding over as I dived overboard. The ship came with me into the ocean, pieces of lumber floating to the bottom. My fingers burned as I made contact with the water, escaping the fiery Blaze of a burning ship as I plunged into the dark depths of the fast currents. It was as if the tides kept me down as I tried to swim To the surface. I kicked my legs desperately,but it seemed the more I kicked,the more the water pulled me deeper. My lungs stung from lack of oxygen as waves beat around my body sending me further down.
