Albus Dumbledore hoped that by putting Harry Potter in the hands of his abusive relatives  that he come to Hogwarts as someone he could easily mold into a perfect pawn. However, that does not go as planned when at the age of 10 Harry's uncle beats him so badly that he sees through the dark lord's memories up until he kills his parents. Not long after the beating, Harry finds a chest left by his mother full of some books on her favorite subjects. Months pass and the Harry who comes to Hogwarts is not the one that Dumbledore was expecting. When Harry is nearly ten the Dursley's house randomly burns down and Harry ends up being put in an orphanage where he stays at for about a year leaving the summer just before his first year at Hogwarts. The Harry who comes is not the Harry the wizarding world or Dumbledore expected.
