Albus Dumbledore hoped that by putting Harry Potter in the hands of his abusive relatives that he come to Hogwarts as someone he could easily mold into a perfect pawn. However, that does not go as planned when at the age of 10 Harry's uncle beats him so badly that he sees through the dark lord's memories up until he kills his parents. Not long after the beating, Harry finds a chest left by his mother full of some books on her favorite subjects. Months pass and the Harry who comes to Hogwarts is not the one that Dumbledore was expecting. Harry did not meet the Weasleys first at Kings Crossing instead he met Hermione first befriending both her and Neville.

The letter reveals a bit of his destiny and answers the question of why Voldemort went after him the night his parents died. Along with the letter was a small trunk filled with books and a few things left behind by his parents to help. One of those things left in the small trunk was an ancient magical Potter family amulet. When he put on the amulet it destroyed all the blocks on Harry, destroyed the Horcrux, and changed his looks. After putting on the amulet Harry sees through all of the dark lord's memories. Not long after putting on the amulet, accidental magic begins happening around him more, and not all the consequences are good. Only with the help of Hermione, new friends, and new family can he learn to control and master his newfound power and abilities.
