Trissara, a Lolth sworn drow, awakens in a mysterious chamber filled with an unnatural shimmering light. She is shackled, her head throbbing with pain, and overcome with a sense of panic without understanding why. As her eyes adjust to the dim light, she sees distorted figures and writhing tentacles dancing in the air. She struggles to recall her past, but her memories are fragmented. She knows she is a hunter-a Gloom Stalker-but feels lost and guided only by a "Dark Urge" within her that pushes her to move forward and defend herself. This urge seems to control her actions, driving her towards unknown goals. She is on a living Nautiloid ship controlled by Mind Flayers, a setting filled with horrors and madness.

As the ash settles and the drinks are pouring a familiar sensation washes over our Tav, the very same one that compelled her to attack poor Alfira in her slumber, perhaps defeating her sister was not just denying her father but in fact taking back her rightful spot as leader of the Bhaalspawn, perhaps Withers was indeed wrong. Questions left unanswered while still having to find a special artifact for Astarion to walk and in the sun and still beating heart to fear Karlach. Rated M for Mature. Vanora felt weak as she laid on the ground, a piercing migraine in the back of her eye throbbing to her rapid heartbeat. As she stood up to orient herself, she had a hard time adjusting her eyes to the sunlight above her. The ocean was calming, and she closed her eyes to listen closer to the shushing of the waves, and smell the salt in the air. Regaining her strength, she opened her eyes once more.
