The beautiful, tropical island of Heliene has always been home to magical legends, speaking of its tribe and how they lived in harmony with Nature. Yet no story is as magical as the one of the wise Queen Oenothera and her loyal friend, Alba; two girls as different as the Sun and the Moon, but as inseparable as the waves and the sand. Two girls that stood by each other's side, proving true friendship can be responsible for the most amazing wonders in this world!

My entry for the 'Shortys 2024' contest by the @shortstory and @Poetry profiles.

Inspired by a comic strip called 'Εξωτικη Ομορφιά' (exotical beauty), which I found in a Greek Barbie magazine from the 90s.

Heliene = a combination of the Greek words Helios and Selene (Sun and Moon).

148 parts Ongoing

A story following a young hunter named Jay. He has grown up in a world where dungeons, monsters, and humans with leveling systems are a cultural norm. At the age of 20, he awakens a skill that allows him to steal the abilities of monsters. While others are stuck with a specific skill set, he continues to grow stronger after every battle. Follow Jay's journey as he learns more about his unique situation in a world that's grown blind to the real dangers of modern-day dungeon diving.
