The Arrival of Gnocchi

This a short story following the journey of my cat, Gnocchi. Some of the elements in the story, like the little girl in the family I wrote about is a work of my own since I know next to nothing about the people who owned her before my family did. Ever since Gnocchi came into my life, I couldn't imagine my life without her. I tried to capture her personality in this story by reflecting on the years I've lived with her, even asking my mom for suggestions and opinions.

I love my cat, and even though she can't communicate with me in the ideal human way, I know she loves me, my parents as well as my aunt, grandmother, and friend who take care of her on occasion when myself or my parents aren't able to. This story is a personal work to me and was something I came up with when I thought about writing a short story for my teacher, as per instruction. And I'm glad I did because now it holds a deeper meaning in my life, and I love the finished result.
