"Ty can't be in a right state of mind, but to be honest I don't think I am either." Hayden is a fifteen year old girl who doesn't have many friends at her school and a boyfriend who seems like he only cares about getting in her pants. This sends her longing to know what actual love is. Dating Ty wasn't her choice, her parents had set them up together, and she soon discovers that she'll have to pay for it. Luckily, she found a friend to help her get through it. This friend makes her question everything. How will she handle it when she finds out that this friend likes her? (Please note: This is my first story, so I'm going to be honest, it isn't the best. If you do decide to read it, please stick with it until chapter 8 because that's basically where the story picks up pace. I apologize for the slowness of the first few chapters.)

Fifteen. That was how old I was when I noticed Malik Hayden Jafar. Sixteen. That was how old I was when I fell inlove with him. They say loyalty comes before love. But what happens when love burns hotter than loyalty? ** Saffy never thought high school would feel this heavy between late-night secrets, best friends who mean too much, and enemies who look at her like they see right through her soul. Ty has always been her safe place, the boy who held her hand through laughter and grief. But Malik, with his dangerous edge and unreadable eyes, lingers like a storm she can't escape. When whispers in the hallway spark fights, when friendship blurs into something more, and when promises hang on fragile Fridays, Saffy is forced to face a truth she isn't ready for: love can heal, love can break, and sometimes the lines between the two are paper-thin. How do you hold on to the people you love most... when letting go might be the only way to survive? *** NB: Not your regular teen romance *** PS: Darker, spicier and best served with a cup of latte and a box of tissue
