Hunted down, the only way to escape was up Mount Ebott. Y/N and Frisk, two extremely close friends, needed to continue running, they didn't want to go back. Not back there. The hunters were too close by now, but the two found themselves ready to jump down a large hole. They'd rather die than have to go back. So with one step back... they found themselves falling to their death.

But... they didn't die.

A fine retreading of the UNDERTALE AU "Storyshift" created by VoltraTheSparking, DUSTSHIFT's tragedy pits a distorted, gaslit version of the Underground, spearheaded by the incompetent ruler of the monarchy, SANS. This society would gradually be challenged by the Solar Warriors, a rebellion that directly opposed his rule, sparked by tensions risen by the difference between SANS's mundane autocracy and his father GASTER II's militaristic dictatorship. {NOTICE: Please be mindful that this take contains visceral descriptions of violence & gore, domestic violence, and child abuse.} However, all of this would skyrocket thanks to the sudden introduction of one human child named Chara to the monster society. An outlier amidst the many fallen humans, she was allowed to live her fullest life in spite of SANS's various promises to his people to shatter the barrier which held the entire species in submission, a grand conspiracy. This would all culminate in one human's intrusion into the world of monsterkind known only by their stage name Shifty. •Yeah this thing has been cancelled. Kinda sad for my first book to end up like this but I do intend on remaking this book one day with it's original lore. That ain't coming any time soon though. Anomilies these things are rare to happen but when the code is infected it can make these chances increase, after the last Timeline was Reset you forgot everything bringing you and Chara back to square one somethings have changed but someone especially hates you
