TRIGGER WARNINGS: I focus on the plot but there will be some vivid blood/gore depictions and violence. There will also be some dark themes at play.

The Fae have always loved their games... and we were nothing but their pawns.

The Aedan Faeries had been gifted with the elemental magic of fire by the Elder Tree but when the last Aedan King died with no clear heir, their magic had started to die. By the wisdom of the Elder Tree, the one who endures its three trials will emerge the new Aedan King

Ash hardly cared. Humans were just a blip of existence to the Fae's and it showed in the way that her kind was treated. Fearing for her life (and her mind) every day, privy to the horrors that they all endured, she just hoped that whenever the next Aedan King was coronated, it was long after she was dead...

... and not a moment too soon when she's picked by the Elder Tree to undergo its three trials, an unwelcome addition to the six who'd already been chosen to compete. Maybe this was better - at least her death will be swift, a victory in and of itself.

"As I laid on the filthy mat, my white hair fanning out like a halo around my head, I felt that ice inside of me fester. It grew and spread until it spanned across my entire body. It engulfed every thought inside my head, every feeling that was bubbling up inside of me. Like a virus. The cold quieted it all, until everything was still and silent... Until I felt nothing at all." Eira Gellert's world comes crumbling down as her sister is forced to leave for the army. Now alone and desperate, Eira looks for a job in a society where if you don't have a job by nineteen you either go into the army or starve. Estelle Beaumont just wanted a peaceful hike on her last day of vacation. Instead, one ill-starred moment of curiosity leaves her miraculously stranded in the fictional world of Prythian--a faerie realm full of ruthless court drama, rampant misogyny, and enough deadly magic to keep anyone up at night. Armed with foreknowledge that's only helpful when it isn't actively trying to get her killed, Estelle quickly discovers that living through the story of ACOTAR is far less fun and far more perilous when it's her own basic-ass, untrained mortal life on the line. Her plan is simple: keep her hands off of the plot and survive long enough to find a way back to the family and love she left behind. But the so-called "Mother" clearly has other plans for Estelle, forcing her to confront an unsettling truth--that her role here in Prythian might be far greater than that of a passive observer. As Estelle reluctantly abandons her original plan, uneasy alliances form, old wounds reopen, and fractured trust begins to mend. Love, loss, and scars of the past converge as Estelle slowly starts to see that the family she thought she'd lost might take a new shape, and that the life she left behind might be the only reason she's prepared for the fight ahead. But the cost of shaping Prythian's future--and her own--might be greater than she can bear. After all, it's a future that was never meant to be hers to begin with. And this is all that damned Cauldron's fault... ☆⊱──────⊰ ☽✧☾ ⊱──────⊰☆ A/N: Warning: This fanfiction is purely self-indulgent, with long-winded introspection and a major, major slowburn romance. Read at your own risk lol. Also if you don't like self-insert/iseki like tropes were an original character who read the books ends up in the fictional world as the new main character, you might want to skip this. Somethings will stay very familiar, others will diverge completely, and I plan to add extra world building along the way.

The ashes of Elarion still clung to my soul, a bitter reminder of the price we paid for freedom. Seren, my sun, my moon, my everything, stood beside me, her hand clasped in mine. We had won, but the victory tasted like ash in my mouth. The queen was gone, her tyranny extinguished, but the kingdom she built, the kingdom that had once held Seren captive, was no more. "We should start fresh," I told her, my voice rough with the weight of what we had done. "The Wildlands. A new kingdom, built on hope, not fear." Seren's eyes, always a window into her soul, were filled with a sorrow that mirrored my own. She knew the Wildlands were a dangerous place, a place where the fae lived in ancient forests. But she also knew that it was the only place where we could truly be free, where we could build a new life together, free from the shadows of the past. I would protect her. I would be her shield, her king, her lover. I would make sure that the Wildlands would become a haven for us both. But I knew, even as I made the promise, that I was not just protecting her from the dangers of the world. I was also protecting her from the loneliness that had always been my constant companion. I had been a king for far too long, a lonely king with no one to share his burden, no one to love. But Seren, with her bright laughter and her compassionate heart, had shown me what it meant to be truly alive. I would give her the world, even if it meant facing the shadows of my own past. ________ This is book 2 of Seren and not a stand-alone. Please read book 1 before starting this story in order to understand it. Please enjoy

The outposts are one thing, fey court is another entirely. With an inherited title she didn't earn and massive shoes to fill, Niamh tries to adjust to fey court. Dwendardian's forces are bombarding the castle, demanding Niamh's head for their leader. The harder she trains, the less adequate she feels, not in the least when her growing power only seems to be present when Eamon's annoying her. There is very little difference between love, lust and obsession. But, there is more than looming threats to the safety of all realms; the king's sons are caught in their own games and aren't averse to getting someone killed. While Eamon reminds himself his feelings for Niamh go no further than a simple fey obsession, he is still involved in the tug of war for power among the king's children. Fey obsession is a dangerous thing... So, oaths are formed and relationships tested as Niamh and Eamon are forced to hide away with the hope the fey can draw the fomorians away from Elfhaven. There, their own relationship is tested as Niamh gives in to her attraction to him. ...and, Eamon's will not be the only oath broken. But, once the threat is passed and they are back among others, Eamon is cold, distant, and his oath is near broken. But, not as broken as Killian, who senses the connection now forged between Eamon and Niamh. In faery, friend and foe hangs on a single whim. As Niamh continues to learn more about her fey heritage, she will come to see that there are many layers to the fey psyche. And, while she's slowly shedding some humanity and becoming one of them, she's only barely scratched the surface.

The Dragon's Match

39 parts Complete Mature

She did not want to match with one of his kind; he did not want to match at all. Lillian Adams was set to inherit her father's dukedom- once she had made a suitable match, one that was not of the fae, and certainly not one that was Aëghan Dranora- the unpredictable and darkly attractive male that was lingering around her family's estate. Having spent four long years in their world, she was no stranger to the cruelness of the fae. But why was it only in his presence that she felt calmer than she had in years, that made her stir with yearnings of desire she had never felt before? Knowing all that she did about him, she should resist the pull that she feels for him... Aëghan had one purpose in this world- to find a way out of it. It was the only thing he lived for, the only thing guiding his every action. Until her. He could not allow himself to nurture the attraction he had for Lillian Adams, he couldn't allow anything, especially not a human woman that made his soul come alive, to come between him and his ultimate goal- to leave this world and return to his own. And Lillian was just that- a distraction, a hindrance. But the desire of his mind went against the desire of his heart as even the Gods urged their union. Aëghan was not convinced he would be able to make the choice should the time arrive when he had to- her, or his world and people.
