Moonlight

Set during the Tang Dynasty. Ming Yue, a young woman of beauty, is born into a humble farming family in a remote village. Despite her modest origins, Yue's talents in painting and sewing hint at a destiny far greater than her simple life.

Yue's life changes when Xiuying, a celebrated poet, visits her village on his way to the capital, Chang'an. During a poetry recital, they share a fleeting glance that feels like destiny. Their connection deepens as they spend an unforgettable night together. Xiuying vows to return and take Yue to the capital, promising her a better life and marriage. Though Yue longs to believe him, she remains skeptical, fearing his promises may be fleeting.

Years pass, and Xiuying does not return. Yue loses hope, and her parents arrange a marriage. Just as she resigns herself to this fate, Xiuying returns to fulfill his vow.
