Princess Soviolette Hillstain, the first princess of the small yet technologically advanced country of Hillstain, finds herself under a royal command from her father: secure a fiancé. In a rebellious move, she picks the least suitable candidate-Evan Louise, a notorious playboy and billionaire.

Evan, still nursing a broken heart from an unrequited first love, is shocked to find himself suddenly thrust into the limelight of an arranged marriage, a prospect that strikes him as a harsh dose of reality. When his secretary accidentally put a public announcement of the engagement during a shareholder meeting, passing a message that the President was the one who requested for this union, Evan feels cornered into accepting the arrangement against his better judgment.

In response, Evan crafts a strategic agreement to protect his interests: he will act as Violette's fiancé in name only, and should she call off the engagement, she must still assist him with vital business negotiations involving her country.
