When trauma and PTSD take away Dion's voice, he fully accepts it. Saylor has never been out of the big city, so finding herself in a town so small that there isn't even a motel, let alone any fast food, is a whole new experience for her. Especially considering that she's there to settle the affairs of a father she never met, one with a dark reputation whose history just happens to coincide with a quiet local boy.
Though Dion is obligated into helping Saylor in her quest, the more time they spend together, the more he realizes he doesn't want to let her go.
