Garan was just a normal teenager, content with adventures in video games, not the real world. But now, he's responsible for Evelyn-a four-year-old who seems to know far more than she should. Her grandfather didn't exactly ask Garan before making him her guardian, and now Garan has to figure out how to survive in this strange world. His mom definitely wouldn't approve.

With dangers lurking in every corner, will Garan and Evelyn find their way back home? Along the way, they'll encounter surprising allies with extraordinary abilities, face formidable enemies, and maybe, just maybe, find out that family is more than where you're from-it's who you're with.
