In a distant future where genetically modified (GM) human beings have been reduced to the status of prototypes, a ruthless dystopian society imposes total control over the lives and thoughts of its citizens. Deprived of their fundamental rights, GMs are forced to serve as test subjects in cruel scientific experiments, with no hope of escaping their fate.

Rose, a young computer programmer, lives in a world governed by inflexible laws, where every step is monitored and the slightest mistake can be costly. But when she begins to question the true intentions of the ruling elite, she discovers a secret that could change everything - a portal to an unknown dimension.
In a world where memories are erased and individuals are shaped to meet the demands of a corrupt elite, Rose must confront her own past and the manipulations to which she has fallen victim. Accompanied by her friend Lily, she embarks on a quest for truth and freedom in a society where the slightest act of rebellion can be fatal.

"The Second Dimension" is a captivating tale that explores the themes of identity, memory and totalitarian control, in an atmosphere that is as disturbing as it is fascinating.

Maxine is an 18-year-old girl who is bored and lonely, living in California in the year 2351. She's always been fascinated with how humans used to live in houses, drive cars, and the fact that there used to be forests and parks everywhere. Now, after a war that nearly erased humanity, people are forced to live a strict, dull, communist lifestyle. Everyone seems okay with this way of life. Everyone except Maxine. Maxine had always been special; she was often able to predict events. How? She didn't exactly know...yet. When she starts having dreams about a tropical island where people live as they did in the 21st century, she meets the man of her dreams: literally. Her new boiling emotions bring her to wonder...what if it's a real place? When she starts her search for the island and bumps into Elis-the man in her dreams-she suddenly knows it wasn't all just a making of her imagination. However, not everything is what she thought it would be when she finally finds the island, and her dreams become a harsh reality. Elis turns out to be someone else, and when another man swoops in every time Maxine is in danger, she becomes confused about what love really is. Maxine also learns that her family has been lying to her about who she really is. Ultimately, when the Advisors come to destroy the island, she must face the fact that she is the key to the island's salvation, and embracing her rapidly developing abilities is the only way to do so.

guys please don't read this anymore lmao i write totally differently nowπŸ’‹ _________________ In a future where humans are genetically modified -- 'altered' -- at the age of sixteen, the world has been, until now, a safe place. Without changing a person's personality, undergoing the Alteration perfects their appearance, IQ, and even their immunity to diseases. No human passes the age of sixteen without being Altered. In the blink of an eye, things change. An ominous message is sent out to all of those below the age of sixteen, providing precise instructions that suggest they flee. Simultaneously, a deadly virus starts to spread all about the world, attacking only the Altered -- every human over the age of sixteen. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are. Set on a pristine, futuristic Earth, this is the apocalypse like you've never seen it before. (Rated mature for graphic depictions of violence and mild language.)
