Nobody knows with certainty what happened on the dawn of the princess's sixth birthday. One moment the peace bustled with excitement for the day's festivities, the other saw the kingdom devoured by azure flames. Some say it'd been a long time coming for the winged elves' vanity in trying to protect the gods from the spite of their creations, others blamed the young princess as a curse set loose upon a world that turned their backs on the divine. The flames died with a passing rain, and with it the gods' chosen people.

A decade in passing, the wounds left by the flames scarred and tragedy turned to song. Whispers of war plague the fragile peace at the eve of the Lunnaelian Empress's daughter's birthday, a figure of eyes ringed with silver at their center. The daughter of a king since forgotten returns to unite the remnants of the feathered children and claim that which is owed her by birthright. The fates of the self proclaimed empress and the mysterious princess, bound by blood, lay waiting in the forest dark and deep with its promises of an eternal sleep.

Memories were fleeting shards of a fractured past, dulled by time and buried beneath pain. For Maeri, the only clarity was him - the man whose voice carried promises as sweet as they were suffocating. Seven hundred days beneath his unrelenting watch, each sunset trapped within walls that whispered horrors only she could hear - the echoes of a girl who could barely recall herself. Scars marred skin like ghostly confessions, while tears carved silent rivers of longing. Somewhere beyond the shadows lay a family long forgotten, a home that felt more like a dream. But even in despair, an ember of determination burned. Freedom would demand more than courage - confronting the darkness she had once called her world. A kiss always haunted resolve, a presence attached like her own shadow even in the vast unknown; a touch she yearned to feel, a voice she longed to hear. The chains he left behind were not so easily broken. His presence lingered in every step she took, the promises that felt more like a curse than salvation. In a world where power decides fate, those born without magic-the Snakes-are seen as cursed, descendants of the Great White Serpent that was cast into the depths long ago. They are outcasts, prey for the Sun-Blessed, who wield magic like gods and rule with an iron grip. Mila has always known what she is-a Snake, meant to bow, meant to suffer. Until the day she is thrown from the heights, left to die at the hands of the powerful. But death never comes. Her blood ignites. Her body shifts. And from the abyss, she rises-a dragon reborn. Across the golden spires, Prince Edwin is raised to believe his destiny is to command a great dragon, just as his ancestors did before him. The world is his to rule, and the Snakes are his to crush. But Edwin is soft, too kind for a world built on cruelty. He dreams of peace, of change-of a future where power isn't everything. When fate binds the prince and the dragon together, their worlds collide in a way neither could have expected. Mila is no servant, and Edwin is no tyrant-but in a world that demands they be enemies, can they rewrite the story written in their blood? A legend reborn. A kingdom on the brink. And two souls bound by fate, standing on opposite sides of a war that has raged for centuries.
