Cole Walker, a resilient survivor from Jeffrey City, Wyoming, has seen the worst of what the world has to offer.Cole dreams of something bigger than just scraping by-he wants to rebuild. With his hometown filled with ex-military residents and his own knack for strategy and survival, Cole sets his sights on restoring an abandoned industrial facility that could be the key to creating weapons and supplies needed to defend his people.

Rival factions, like the tyrannical Great Basin Republic, seek to dominate the region, and dangerous bandits known as the Red Legion pillage whatever they can find.
