My completely regular life

My name is Sammy and In case you ask my life is completely normal. I'm 10 years old, I have a best friend, 2 older siblings, I love cookies and sweets, I like to explore abandoned buildings (Specifically warehouses don't ask) with my older sister, I have a 'strange' fascination with fire (If you don't like fire what's wrong with you?). Yup completely normal. Oh what's that about my 'job'? oh it's nothing important just the fact around 5 percent of the population was born with an ability and it's my job with the help of a few others to keep the public in the dark while using my ability to stop myself from dying and finding out that the organization leader isn't actually the leader- wait what?!
And with the fact my siblings keep dropping hints about someone called 'David' that apparently I know...? Or should know at least...? and what's this about Mauri using me and my siblings/friends/rival as pawns?! (Ugh- Don't even get me started on how much I hate Mauri-) and are my siblings really as innocent as they seem...? And if they are (Like I know they are!) why does everyone tell me otherwise and why do they hide so much from me- and what even is my ability?! (If you want to know just read the story, the very first chapter.) And why can't someone be honest with me for once?! it's not like I'm a 5 year old! I can handle the truth...right?
