Tale of the Tickling Giant (rewrite)

(I wrote this story back when I was a young teen who was obsessed with MLP, Sonic, and anything Giant related...fast forward a decade later and I still like all three of those things; so I rewrote this story here. Hope y'all find it entertaining.)
This story is slight-soft-horror; but it's not really that scary.
Five friends sat around a campfire one night, regaling stories to one another. After Twilight Sparkle tells the tale of a Giant beast whom he can cast a curse of immense growth upon whomever he tickles; these five friends find themselves having to deal with that very same giant!
Can they outrun their new foe who they have nicknamed "Big Blue?" Or are they doomed to succumb to the Giant's twitchy, tickling clutches?

Sonic and friends unwillingly travel to another dimension and upon arrival realise that they are not able to freely show their special abilities to the public or bad things may await. They have to live mundane lives during their time there. Some get jobs in order to blend in and earn their keep. Little do they know a certain egg themed villain is attempting to find this world to conquer as well as defeat the heros hiding in plain sight. Will they stop him without being captured by the villains of this world? Or will the villain rise to the top, rendering the heros useless? Eventual Sonadow, Rougeknux, Blazeamy, and Mephilver. 16+ there are adult themes and topics in this book not suitable for minors, nothing explicit, which is why I put 16+ rather than 18+. The characters are aged up as follows; Sonic-21, Shadow-22, Rouge-22, Knuckles-23, Amy-19, Tails-15, Silver-18, Mephiles-18, Mighty-18, Sally-16 I am open to constructive criticism, so if you notice a mistake or something that just doesn't make sense, please comment so I can fix it. What was meant to be a simple rescue mission turns out to be a week-long trek across an island as Sonic and friends race to fix their powers. Knuckles and Rouge address the elephant in the room. Longclaw warned 7 year old Kenji about using his powers, but Kenji was the exact opposite and loved showing off. Kenji was a fun and happy kid, who loves enjoying life to the fullest. However, one night, everything changed for the worse. A powerful entity came through a portal, seeking out a current blue hedgehog and for the 7 mystical gems that are hidden away. Kenji, being just a kid and fully unexperienced in combat, was very terrified as he watch his home go up in flames and Longclaw was definitely no match for the monster. So, with little energy she has left, she summoned a portal ring to another dimension and gave Kenji the 7 Chaos Emeralds for him to guard now and pushed him inside the ring, having it close before his eyes. That was the last time Kenji saw Longclaw and the poor kid was heartbroken beyond repair. Many years later, Kenji was living his life as he was adopted by a female older hedgehog, making her his very own mother. Kenji moved on from the past, but it's still a sensitive topic to bring up. Kenji became a pretty strong hedgehog over the years, thanks to his mother. Kenji wanted to look for new adventures to begin as he left his home in search for one and what's better to start an adventure with an old friend he met a few years back. A Sonic X AU based on two fanfics, the Sonic Movie fanfic "Just Took a Bit Longer to Find My Way Home" and the Sonic X one "Letting Go of Hope" The movie characters are in this fic. As in Tom, Maddie, Wade, Randall, Rachal and Jojo. It's still like the same timeline as the episodes, but Sonic, at some point, decides to stay with Tom and Maddie, given the parent-child bond. After Sonic and his friends got separated, the blue hedgehog finds himself in a warehouse and was tortured there for 6 months (like in Forces). After he finally escaped, he passed out in an area of a garage, where two humans took him in, after he woke up and explained everything. A special bound between him and the couple blooms when he decides to stay here, slowly recovering. But when discovering that he wasn't the only one on Earth, he starts searching for his friends with the help of his current ones. Join Sonic and his friends, new and old, as they start looking for the Chaos Emeralds and stop Dr Eggman. WARNING: Blood, Gore, Death (for poor Cosmo since she died in the final season), violence and strong language are in this story.
