Natsu Dragneel was raised by dragon king acnologia, everyone on earth land is terrified of acknologia that's why when people found out that Natsu was acnologius son they started distancing themselves from him out of fear of acknologia and Natsu being mean rude and scary didn't help that.
Acnologia disappeared on July 7th the year 777 x. after that Natsu started to search everywhere for acknologia and that's when he meets fairy tale's master makarov. Makarov was kind to Natsu unlike the people Natsu met so when makarov give him the opportunity to join fairy tail he took it and became fairytale member. even though Natsu was scary 90% of the time and scared everyone, fairytale members still tried their best to get to know him.
Natsu was at the guilt when he heard one of the members talking about the rumors about salamander when Natsu heard it he thought his uncle igneel was the salamander so he immediately head out to see him.

The land of Fiore has been thriving for a long time. In recent years dragon's have begun to plague the land. The guilds have barely been able to fight against them. The leader of the dragons is non other then the chaos dragon, Acnologia and his only son, Natsu. About a few weeks ago Lucy Heartphilia joined the guild to help in defending against dragon attacks. One day Acnologia sends Natsu to finish the job. The dragons start by attacking Magnolia primarily to wipe out Fairy Tail. In the middle of the battle while instructing the other dragons, Natsu gets distracted when he sees Lucy and blacks out. He was shot out of the sky and taken into Fairy Tail's custody.
