The weirdest thing I find on social media today is people of the same family, office, and neighborhood wishing birthdays and giving compliments on social media. I tried hard to accept in todays world but still keep wondering every time I see it.

Somehow I am just not able to understand why I should I wish birthday to my mom on social media when she is right in front of me. The worst part is that I have seen people wishing their parents on Facebook and other apps even when the parents are not on Facebook. What psychology this gesture indicates? Are we attention-seeking or are we just greedy to gather praise. Why do we want an approval from others about being a good son or daughter. What satisfaction do we get by showcasing our love for our parents on the social media.

Despite being a normal thing on social media, I am still not able to take it in my stride. What is the most weird thing according to you on the internet today.
