Clarissa, a teenage girl, comes home from school to find her family in disarray. To clear her head, she goes for a walk. She wanders down a dark alleyway only to find a disheveled boy holding an intricately made sword. Before she realizes what's happening, he attacks her with it and slices open her shoulder.
Jordan has finally retrieved The Stone from his cousin, but then he meets Clarissa. In an act of betrayal, he loses the precious heart. He must win back Clarissa and the stone. Bloody, battered, attacked by monsters he has to stay strong to carry on his mission.
