I asked the bartender for another and as he slid it across the bar towards me I felt him behind me and a familiar set of hands placed themselves on the bar, trapping me.

"Took you long enough," I muttered as I took a sip.

"You could have come to me," He spoke softly into my ear, his nose resting on the side of my head.

"We've got a good thing going here, wouldn't want to disturb that," I spoke just as quietly, our close proximity allowing us to still hear each other over the noise of the party.

"If you keep making me come to you I might start to think you don't like me very much," He muttered, stepping closer to me so that his front was pressed to my back, causing my heart to skip a beat. But I couldn't let him know how much of an affect he had on me.

"That'll never happen," I responded.

"How can you be so sure," He whispered, his lips ghosting over the shell of my ear. In an attempt to calm my racing heart I turned around so that my back was no longer resting against him.

"Your egos to big," I said, my gaze fell to his lips. He smirked as a form of acceptance before looking down at the drink in my hand.
