Sonic and Shadow have a secret that not even their closest friends know. They were experiments from the Ark. They were meant to be used for research purposes on hybrids, but they were deemed failures when one went missing and the other developed strange abilities. Things were going array with the project and an accident occurred in the Ark. Sending the ship plummeting in space trapped in an endless grave. Thankfully, due to the experiment's abilities they were able to adapt. Together, their learning to adapt to the world and act like normal-ish hedgehogs. Through this journey they'll pick up some friends, who become suspicious with recent events. Chaos runs rapid, and these friends are trying to get answers. While Sonic and Shadow are just trying to keep their secret alive.

This is a rewrite of my book "Keeping The Secret Alive" as my writings evolved and progressed over the years, I grew extremely unsatisfactory with my previous works. I decided to redo them, not only for better writing but for better flow of the plot.

He held the book against his chest as if his life depended on it. He had promised, he wouldn't let go of it. His breath was heavy and ragged, the smoke filling his lungs intrusively. Green eyes snapped everywhere, looking desperately for an exit. He jumped when his back met the thick wall behind him, his eyes landing on the awful smoky creature. Summary: In the midst of the battle, Sonic calls upon Silver and Shadow to help him defeat their enemy. The seven chaos emeralds are there and react to two of them but one hedgehog finds themselves in quite the predicament. He doesn't glow, instead he is driven to his knees in agony facing demons like no other before. A darkness is coming to all the zones and our heroes are left questioning the past, present and future. Allies like no other come from afar as our heroes are forced through painful paths to save their home. Little do they know a certain egg themed villain is attempting to find this world to conquer as well as defeat the heros hiding in plain sight. Will they stop him without being captured by the villains of this world? Or will the villain rise to the top, rendering the heros useless? Eventual Sonadow, Rougeknux, Blazeamy, and Mephilver. 16+ there are adult themes and topics in this book not suitable for minors, nothing explicit, which is why I put 16+ rather than 18+.
