Tuesdays with Morrie is of few stories that are tonally child-like yet its themes and stories are very realistic and adult. The story never goes too in-depth into the concept of life and death yet its omnipresent in the story feels too real to ignore. When trying to pick 1 line to represent this story, this line specifically encompasses the impending theme of the story and may in some ways undermine the story. Considering that these characters may die at any time, then why read a story about characters that we care about. Yet, the story is able to permeate a veil of secrecy and entice readers to get to know the unknown which may be metaphorical way of saying getting to know death when you don't know about death.
