Kris Kapernick lives in North Chicago. He hates his life. It is always about his 3 year old brother Keith. When Afghanistan bombs the U.S. he and his family has to move to a different town. His knew way of life is terrible, but when he finds his special friend it all flips over. Then it all flips over again. Afghanistan bombs that city. So they have to hide. After a week of surviving they meet a stranger that built a fort under trees with other survivors. Will they survive, or is it a dream?

On Emma's 17 birthday she would be old enough to go out side of the city walls and look for communication to other parts of the world. They had found a part of a cell tower that would finish off there hand made cell tower and needed a search crew to go get it and bring it back. Emma now being old enough she tried out. She had never been outside the city walls. We're most of the adventures have already gone once or twice.
