Aries Bristol is a bounty hunter. The best of the best, most terrifying, and she's a woman, frowned upon by all. "Women shouldn't fight," they say, on and on. "Women shouldn't get their hands dirty." "Women are weak." "Women are powerless." "Women are toys, puppets, made to look at and enjoy." They thought they were geniuses. Adding to her misery. She proved them wrong. And she always will. ●●●●● When she is called upon by an Aristocrat, Aries is hired to find a Demhi---a person---a race--- that is immortal. But she knows they don't exist anymore. They didn't die, no, they disappeared. As if they never existed. ...Didn't they? So, of course, she finds this bounty dumb... until she is paid one hundred thousand for the job, enough to sustain her for life... As she goes on her mission, she defeats many people, from drunken thugs to gang leaders. She also gets visons, dreams, and prompting from her Patron goddess, Thana, the goddess of death. As she is fulfilling her job, she meets a man. A very enigmatic figure, one she comes to know as he confronts her and travels alongside her. As they travel together, they bond, becoming good friends...or more. They unveil a path of dark secrets... some connected to their pasts. In the midst of all this, Aries deals with depression, suffering from past traumas, as well as realizing her growing feelings for this man. As the novel escalates, Aries needs to find comfort in her own skin and not to live in the past, as well as differ good from evil. WARNING: Rated mature for suicidal thoughts, self harm (mentioned), and depression. No explicit adult content, though very small mentions of r4p3 (mentioned once, never described, nor pressed).

"I name you the Sword of the Jedi. You are like tempered steel, purposeful and razor-keen. Always you shall be in the front rank, a burning brand to your enemies, a brilliant fire to your friends. Yours is a restless life, and never shall you know peace, though you shall be blessed for the peace that you bring to others. Take comfort in the fact that, though you stand tall and alone, others take shelter in the shadow that you cast." Her home is ravaged by war, her loved ones dead and lost. Jaina Solo, eldest grandchild of Anakin Skywalker and the only living child of Leia and Han Solo, feels that she may never find peace. Determined to escape the prophecy her uncle made at her knighting, Jaina returns to the one place that may offer refuge. Though Earth has changed as well, it still feels more like home than Coruscaunt or Yavin IV. Wally and Rick are still alive, Connor is as broody as ever, Artemis, M'gann, Raquel, and Zatanna welcome her with open arms, and the smiles of the children that have recently joined the team are a sight for sore eyes. But as her grandfather discovered decades ago, evading the inevitable only brings it closer. Alongside her team, her family, and her friends, Jaina makes one more bid for peace in the galaxy. "It brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might beware my power; Green Lantern's light!" [I do not own Star Wars or DC Comics]
