Global warming story

The summer of 2045 brought a heatwave unlike anything humanity had ever known. In the city of Los Suenos, temperatures soared past 140°F (60°C), turning the streets into rivers of molten asphalt. People fled indoors, but as the power grid collapsed, air conditioners failed, and the heat became unbearable. Trapped in their buildings, people began seeing eerie, humanoid figures made of shimmering heat outside. As the temperature rose, these figures entered through cracking windows, consuming everything in their path. Survivors were found burned into the walls, fused with the very buildings they once hid in.
