Skye was undercover in the Rising Tide for HYDRA, knowing that her mission would be to get intel from SHIELD with her partner/boyfriend Grant Ward, Skye was raised from birth by John Garret.
Grant Ward was an undercover HYDRA agent in SHIELD, raised by John Garret from his teenage years, he was left alone in the forest for five years without company only seeing Garret every few months.
