Male 'Hydro' Reader X Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken

Many years ago, there was a clan known as the Lin Kuei, whose sworn duty was to protect the Earthrealm, which they accomplished. At one point, a group of them decided to splinter off, thanks to their grandmasters and Lui Kang's permission, and form a new clan called the Mizuno Ichizoku, named after their grandmasters' ability to manipulate water and its temperature. Years after leaving the Lin Kuei, the Mizuno Ichizoku would live gracefully at Earthrealm's coasts while serving their duties as its protectors, much like the clan they splintered from. But disaster would strike in the form of an attack from an unknown enemy, causing the clan to fall and leave a young Y/N and his sister as the survivors. Years later, the now-teenage boy meets a certain mermaid and they start to feel like they can do and persevere through anything the world puts them through.
