I've lived my entire life being known as 'God's Daughter', 'Princess Isis' (Ice-is) and behind my back, where the Angels don't think I can hear them whisper 'Half-blood', 'Half-angel, half-demon', 'one black bat wing and one white feathery wing'. But that's okay, because their right. I am a half-blood. I was trained and born for one thing. To defeat the demon, Daemon. (Da-emon). Only one of us is supposed to survive the battle that wages between demons and angels. Either Daemon or I are supposed to survive the battle along with the remaining people fighting on our sides. But that's not what happened. In the end of the battle w snitch die. We regenerate every 17 years. Sometimes we get to choose. If we fight on the Angels side or on the demons side. But we can never fight on the same side. This time something happened. The apocalypse happened. The Angels fell off heaven. The Demons rose from hell. This time. The choice is in our hands.

"Hey," I said cautiously, scared to make the first move. Thankfully, I didn't have to make it. Luca stepped forward and took me by the waist, pulling me close to him. Friends. That's what they always had been, whenever either of them had problems they told each other from a very young age.
