Crime is rife in this city. Murderers and thieves and corrupt politicians. Thankfully, the city has a hero, and many people are grateful for his presence-including a young high school girl, who lives with her uncle and has a secret to hide. She's gotten good at hiding it, too. She can convince anyone that she's fine-including, to an extent, herself.

But when she is assigned to tutor one of her classmates, she discovers that he has a secret of his own. A secret far more dangerous than hers.
