Maj was in the wrong place at the wrong time. A young leviathan, he'd been careful to avoid those who looked anything like himself. His parent had warned him, once he was old enough to understand, that his worst enemy would look something like himself and to live a long and peaceful life, staying away from that being was vital. Most other races understood that, categorizing it as a survival trait. Something only leviathans understood was that their own appearances didn't just warn them of their most dangerous enemy but were designed to attract their own unique soulmate. In the hands of a crew of sailors that had viciously attacked him before hauling him aboard, Maj knows his enemy is close. Is it possible that his soulmate is as well?

Alon has never known life off of a ship. He was born and raised on the sea and this ship's crew, however cruel they may be at times, are his family. Sailing on the high seas isn't an easy life. Sickness, injury, enemy ships, and the various elements of the sea threaten the crew on a daily basis. Alon's role is to fix those up that need it and to stand watch atop the mast in the crow's nest. He's made himself indispensable to the crew or so he hopes. When he's assigned an extra task by the Captain involving a prisoner aboard-they'd never taken prisoners before-he begins to have his reservations. No one else on the crew will go near this man, not even the Captain, and though he hasn't tried in any way to harm Alon, the young man is starting to notice his own behavior changing while in the prisoner's presence. When push comes to shove, will Alon survive what's to come?

Empress of Fire

14 parts Complete

Lian snuck out of the imperial palace and exposed the village healer to be a fraud and a devil-worshipper. Cursed by the spurned fire god, Huogwai, and disgraced and cast out by the royal family, Lian set out with her manservant Emiru to the kingdom of fire to rid her of the curse of uncontrollable flames for a chance to regain her claim to the throne. But being a fire disciple meant she was a practitioner of the forbidden arts. For those that hunt her kind, the game had just started.
