When Maki wakes up on his 16th birthday with a pair of horns on his head, he rightfully freaks out. It's only when he gets a long overdue explanation that he was half-demon this entire time. And now that puberty is hitting, so are the changes that are beyond just human. Being raised in a practically anti-demon home and community, it's the worst thing to possibly happen to him. When his secret comes out, Maki is rescued by other demons he's never seen before but he has no choice but to trust them. And they're thankfully willing to help him learn about his life and powers.
