Dylan 'Wondergirl' Blackwood is the daughter of Charlie Blackwood and Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell. She didn't meet Pete until her mother died when she was 7 and she was placed into his custody. Mav and Dylan were close until he tried pulling her papers to the Naval Academy like he did to Bradley years prior. Now she avoids him as much as Bradley does. If it weren't for Iceman, or as Dylan calls him Uncle Ice, she wouldn't have been able to go to the academy either. Dylan doesn't ever plan on seeing her father again but that plan goes out the window when she is called back to TOP GUN for a mission and her dad is the instructor.
