Amaya is new to Hogwarts. She often had to change schools because the students shunned her because of her surname, as her grandfather is Gellert Grindelwald.
She grew up alone with her aunt and uncle. In her childhood she experienced no love, but instead a lot of sadness and violence, which she still deals with today.
She is a reserved and intelligent girl who comes to Hogwarts expecting to start afresh, but 2 brothers, one of whom is her professor, do not make her life there any easier.
