She had no idea that 7 years later she would meet someone she wasn't expecting to meet, a orphan boy named Remus Michael Myers, the son of Michael Myers, which soon Laurie adopts Remus where for the next 8 years he has lived with his aunt while his father was locked up in Smith's Grove Sanitarium
