What does it mean to be idealistic? At what point do reasonable desires turn into something too grand to exist? Those are the questions, which Mary Ann Cambridge answers the hard way. Growing up in early 1800s England, she finds herself engrossed with tall tales of love, grandiosity, and wonder. However, upon meeting a group of five unique, yet somehow like minded people, she finds her hopes and dreams materializing before her. However, Mary Ann along with her group of friends are all stuck in a whimsical Purgatory, unsure if what awaits them is Salvation or Damnation.

Author's Note: This story was inspired by the song "MASQUERADE" by the Japanese, visual kei band "Versailles". However, this story is ultimately not a Versailles fan-fiction, but is instead an original work where in the inspiration I drew from MASQUERADE as well as Versailles itself merely serves as my canvas, which I use to paint my own ideas along with ideas from other influences. Nonetheless, if you think that any influences I have from MASQUERADE as well as Versailles are too heavy, then, please let me know. I also welcome any and all criticism.
